Human trafficking is a global issue affecting every community across the United States. Every day, adults and youth are being forced into commercial sex and/or labor in plain sight. The issue can feel overwhelming, but the truth is that anyone and everyone can play a role in combating this heinous crime. Join TAT to dive deeper into the ways we can join the fight, both in our professional roles in school transportation as well as in our personal lives as parents, friends and community members.
Attendees will leave with:
- A deeper understanding of what human trafficking looks like in the United States.
- Case examples that illustrate how schools and school transportation can play a role in identifying, reporting and disrupting human trafficking in the course of their everyday jobs.
- Specific best practices and action steps to improve human trafficking awareness and response procedures within school transportation operations.
- Resources for engaging your families and communities in the fight against human trafficking.
